The project
How this one came together.
The brief
An empty-nester couple who entertain regularly wanted a kitchen they could cook in with two friends sitting at the island. The existing galley layout couldn't fit it; we suggested combining the kitchen with the formal dining for a full open-plan rework.
What we changed
Removed the half-wall between kitchen and dining, added an island with a 2.4m quartz counter and integrated cooktop. The peninsula on the far wall holds the sink + dishwasher. Three pendants hang over the island; the cabinetry is matte acrylic in deep terracotta with brushed brass handles.
