The project
How this one came together.
The brief
A young IT-services couple buying their first home. Budget was firm at ₹6 lakhs all-in including kitchen. They told us upfront they'd rather keep Hafele in the kitchen and downgrade elsewhere than the other way round.
Where we saved
Kept Hafele on the kitchen drawers but used Hettich basic on wardrobes. Single-tone PU finish across all woodwork — no veneers or acrylics. False ceiling in the living only; bedrooms kept the original ceiling with cove-light addition.
The accent walls are paint, not wallpaper. Curtains are linen-look polyester, not real linen. Every saving made deliberately, with the couple's sign-off.
